From your very first basic step to advanced styling, we teach a clear path through salsa and bachata — plus heels, mambo and cha cha. Classes are warm, beginner-first, and you never need to bring a partner.

Absolute beginners

Intro Salsa & Bachata

The perfect first step. Learn basic steps, timing and partner connection in a relaxed, friendly room. No experience and no partner required.

Beginner

Salsa — Level 1

Foundational footwork, timing, basic turns and partner connection — the building blocks that give you control and confidence on the floor.

Advanced

Salsa — Level 3

For seasoned dancers. Complex combinations, musical interpretation, styling and refined lead-and-follow technique. We dance On1 and On2.

Beginner to advanced

Bachata — Levels 1–3

From your first basic step and rhythm to intricate patterns, body movement and musicality. A clear path from brand-new to expressive and fluid.

Where young dancers grow up dancing.

Structured, age-based classes from first steps to serious technique. Ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical and hip-hop — taught to build coordination, confidence and real skill.

Mommy & Me

Ages 2–3

Music · Movement

Parent-and-child classes that introduce toddlers to music, movement and coordination. Comfort, balance and confidence from day one.

Pre-Dance

Ages 3–4

Ballet · Tap · Tumbling

A gentle, structured intro to ballet, tap and tumbling. Builds coordination and foundational skills — no experience necessary.

Mini

Ages 5–7

Ballet · Jazz · Tap · Hip-Hop

Foundation-building across four styles in one program. Dancers grow coordination, rhythm and confidence, with steady training that speeds up real progress.

Our story

From the lab to the dance floor.

Vera started dancing at six years old — ballet, jazz and contemporary — on her father's feet at home. She went on to earn a PhD in biochemistry and spent years in labs across Europe, performing on weekends just to blow off steam.

When she moved to San Diego in 2008, she fell in love with Latin music and dance. It took months to find the courage to step onto the social floor. Once she did, she was hooked — and in 2010 she began teaching, sharing the joy that changed her own life.

In 2013 she brought Vedanza to North County to build a real community of local dancers. Today those weekly socials draw around 150 people, and a full kids' program is raising the next generation of dancers right here in Oceanside.
