Vera Tinoco
Founder & Artistic Director
Salsa · Bachata · Youth Technique
Vera began dancing at six — ballet, jazz and contemporary — then earned a PhD in biochemistry and spent years in labs across Europe. She fell in love with Latin dance in San Diego in 2008, started teaching in 2010, and brought Vedanza to North County in 2013. She leads the beginner class at every social.
Amy Hill
Instructor & Team Manager
Beginner Salsa · Bachata · Ladies Styling
Amy makes brand-new dancers feel at home. She teaches beginner salsa and bachata and a ladies' styling class built around confidence, posture and personal flair — and keeps the whole Vedanza team running.
Sheila Ros
Youth Instructor
Ballet · Tap · Jazz · Acro · Mommy & Me
With more than 20 years of teaching and training through ODA, CDC, Moonlight Amphitheater and Palomar College, Sheila guides our youngest dancers from Mommy & Me through ballet, tap, jazz and dance acrobatics.
Michelle Assadi
Youth Instructor
Pre-Dance · Preschool
A competitive-dance and convention background gives Michelle a gift for the littlest movers. She specializes in preschool-aged children, building a fun, supportive first experience of dance.
Tanisha de la Torre
Instructor
Belly Dance
Tanisha brings the art of belly dance to Vedanza — technique, isolation and expression in a welcoming, all-levels class.
DJ Orod
Resident DJ
Salsa & Bachata Socials
Every Tuesday and Sunday, DJ Orod reads the room and keeps the floor moving — the sound behind our weekly socials.
